Reflections is a collection of solo piano pieces James recorded while living in Santa Fe in 1994-95. It was a period of deep self-doubt and wandering in his life when he was trying to break through old stories and limitations of the past, and discover a new relationship with himself that could open and nurture his life and creativity. The music explores the whole range of feelings and emotions he experienced that are an essential part of our lives.

Time affords us many opportunities to celebrate life. While James’ primary spiritual practice is Buddhism, he respects the deep roots of his early childhood experience in Christianity, and feels a special connection to the celebration of Christmas. A Christmas Meditation is a solo album of secular and religious Christmas songs recorded as a meditation — reflective and quiet — with the hope of creating a quiet place to celebrate the magic of hope, peace and goodwill to all.
